Meet Erica Skone-Rees

Safe and Sound Protocol Practitioner | Creative Human
Hi Friends, I’m Erica.
I’m so glad you’re here.
My journey into healing started from a place of necessity, not choice. Life didn’t give me the option to bypass the hard stuff—it threw me right in. From caregiving for my mother after she lost her leg, to navigating my own chronic illness, I’ve learned that healing isn’t linear, and it certainly isn’t about perfection. It’s messy, unpredictable, and deeply personal.
I’ve been through it—an apartment fire, multiple concussions, Lyme disease, prolonged mold exposure that left me bedbound, and the long road to recovery from mycotoxins, MCAS, and co-diagnoses. These experiences shaped me, but they don’t define me. What defines me is how I’ve chosen to rebuild, find balance during crises, and create a life that I’m truly grateful for.
From Healing to Helping
I look at those big life experiences as my masterclass—my initiation into the role I play now. When traditional medicine didn’t have the answers, I became my own advocate. I explored alternative modalities—Eastern medicine, Ayurveda, functional medicine, naturopathy, and homeopathy—and found practitioners who truly supported me. Piece by piece, I wove together a healing path that worked for me.
Through this process, I fell in love with learning how deeply our minds and bodies are connected, and how much power we have to heal ourselves. Healing isn’t something that just happens to us—it’s something we actively co-create. The more I learned, the more I wanted to share these real, powerful tools that transformed my health.
This led me to formal training. I became a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, trained as a Safe and Sound Protocol Practitioner, and completed masterclasses on nervous system regulation, limbic system retraining, mold toxicity, and MCAS. As a lifelong learner, I continue to expand my education, studying under mentors like Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and Sharon Shelton, always deepening my own practice and adding modalities to my toolbox.
While my certifications are important, what truly matters is that I have lived experience. I know what it feels like to be sick, lost, and overwhelmed, and I know what it takes to climb out—and just as importantly, what it takes to manage my health day by day. Healing isn’t a one-time thing; it’s something I must continue to nurture and maintain, and I’m here to help others do the same.
Why I Created Woven Path Wellness
Woven Path Wellness grew from my own journey, where I learned that true healing comes from weaving together various modalities, integrative medicines, mind-body practices, and lifestyle choices. It’s about combining the many threads that create a personal tapestry of health, which is why I chose the name Woven Path Wellness—to honor the complexity and richness of what it takes to heal.
Through my work, I support those feeling overwhelmed by stress, illness, and uncertainty. It’s not about striving for perfection but learning how to navigate life’s waves—finding moments of peace and care, even when things feel like they’re falling apart. Healing happens when care becomes a daily habit, and that’s what I offer through my work.
I blend neuroscience, ancient wisdom, and somatic practices to create programs, workshops, and one-on-one sessions that support nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and holistic health. I offer a range of modalities and tools, allowing you to discover what resonates with you. Just as I’ve woven my own path, I’m here to help you weave yours.

Creativity and Connection: My Joyful Medicine
Some of the best medicine is making time for joy, play, and meaningful connection.
Art and nature bring me my deepest sense of joy and calm. When I’m not working with clients or creating curriculums, you’ll likely find me outdoors—kayaking, hiking, or exploring with my husband Matt and our Siberian Husky, Koda. I also love diving into creative projects like painting, collage, ceramics, macrame, sewing, and jewelry-making. I seek spaces where connection and creativity come together—whether through creative groups, intentional gatherings, or sanghas. These are the places where I feel most alive, where I continue to learn, grow, and find inspiration.
Shall We Connect?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just in need of some extra support, I’m here to help. My offerings are designed to meet you wherever you are—whether that’s through a group session, a creative project, or one-on-one coaching. This journey is about more than just finding relief; it’s about discovering your own way to live more fully.
Let’s walk this path together.
