The Music Medicine Reset is a nervous system healing program designed for people living with chronic conditions that affect energy, emotional capacity, and daily functioning.
It blends the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), somatic practices, mindfulness, and gentle, trauma-informed pacing to help your system shift out of chronic threat states and into pathways of safety and regulation.
The program is structured with a combination of group sessions and individual support sessions with a certified coach, giving you both community connection and personalized guidance throughout your journey.
For two years, I was bed & couch-bound.
I did everything right — moved out of mold, treated Lyme and co-infections, healed my gut, followed all the protocols — and still, my system stayed flared. My body was stuck in survival mode, cycling through exhaustion, emotional overwhelm, grief, fear, pain, and hypersensitivity.
It wasn’t lack of effort. It was a nervous system that could no longer recognize safety.
Sound therapy, gentle vagus nerve stimulation and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), were the first things that shifted me. Within weeks, I was out of bed, symptoms lessened. Over time, my capacity returned, inflammation dropped, my emotional reactivity softened, and I could finally think about something other than being sick or fixing myself, and started to feel like myself again.
For almost four years now, I’ve been guiding people through this same process 1:1. And while I’ve witnessed profound transformations, I’ve also seen something clearly:
People heal more deeply in community.
With accountability.
With guidance.
With a community in their corner.
With others walking the same path.
With a clear roadmap so nothing is left to chance.
When people go through this work individually, they often fall off their practices as soon as they feel a little better. Or if a life setback arrives, they often struggle to complete the journey. Not because they don’t want to heal — but because tending to our health constantly is exhausting, overwhelming, and so frustrating to try and figure out alone.
This program solves that.
We walk it together. Steadily. Gently. Clearly.
No confusion. No pushing. No “doing it alone.”
A rooted, guided pathway that helps you feel safe in your body again.

You don’t need energy.
You don’t need to push.
This program meets you exactly where you are.
You can arrive to sessions from bed, wearing blue light glasses, & pajamas…we totally get it.
Why Your Nervous System Matters in Chronic Illness
Chronic illness is not a mindset issue. Your symptoms are real. And they’re rooted in biology. But even after infections, toxins, and medical layers are addressed, many people remain stuck in:
• hypervigilance
• shutdown
• inflammation
• emotional dysregulation
• reactivity
• fatigue
• pain
• sensory overwhelm
• inability to “calm down”
This isn’t because your body is broken.
It’s because your safety system has been overwhelmed for too long.
Sound-based vagus nerve stimulation, when delivered slowly and intentionally, helps re-teach the nervous system how to shift out of threat responses and into states that support healing.
This is the missing piece many chronic illness patients never receive. It was the missing piece for me too — the moment everything finally began to shift. My symptoms eased, some disappeared completely, and my energy slowly returned. And I’ve witnessed those same kinds of changes in so many others walking this path beside me.
What’s Included
A complete Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Journey
6 month access to SSP, Guided with pacing, titration, and weekly support — the way chronic illness requires.
Five monthly 1:1 private sessions
Tailored to your needs, symptoms, pacing, flare patterns, emotional landscape, and daily capacity.
Ten online group sessions over 5 months
A place to be witnessed, understood, and supported.
A place where accountability, steady practice, and safety are built into the structure.
A Library of Body-based Regulation Practices
Tools to use during flares, when overwhelmed, when exhausted, when triggered, or when emotionally flooded.
Gentle, consent-based community support
No pressure to perform, share, or show up perfectly.
Why Community Matters
Private sessions are powerful, but healing accelerates in community. Being witnessed, witnessing others, and practicing together creates a depth of integration that’s hard to access alone.
Here’s how group work supports and strengthens the process differently than individual work:
• Co-regulation becomes built in, giving your nervous system more cues of safety than it can generate alone.
• You stay consistent, because there’s a clear structure, regular meeting times, and built-in practice sessions.
• You’re no longer isolated — you’re surrounded by others who understand chronic illness without explanation or gaslighting.
• You learn through resonance, gaining insight from other people’s questions, challenges, and breakthroughs.
• You’re held by a shared roadmap, making it easier to stay on track and complete the full arc of the program.
• You normalize your experience, realizing your struggles aren’t personal failures but part of the healing process others also face.
• You receive momentum and encouragement, especially on days when your own energy or belief dips.
Program Roadmap:
-

Step 1 — Application & Discovery Call
You’ll start by filling out a short application and scheduling a one-on-one discovery call.
This call gives us space to get to know each other, explore your needs, and ensure the program is a supportive fit.
You can ask questions, share your history, and feel into whether this container feels right for your system.
-

Step 2 — Enrollment & Welcome Packet
If it feels aligned, you’ll complete your enrollment and receive your welcome materials.
Your packet includes pacing guidance, tech setup, the program calendar, and what to expect in the first month.
This step gives you clarity, structure, and a sense of grounding before we begin.
-

Step 3 — Early Access to SSP & the Regulation Portal
Before Month One officially starts, you’ll receive early access to your Safe & Sound Protocol playlists.
You’ll also receive access to the Portal with vagus nerve practices, somatic tools, and guided meditations.
This gentle pre-work helps your system soften, settle, and prepare for the deeper work ahead.
-

Month 1 — Foundations, Safety & Meeting the Group
(1 introductory group session + 1 private session + 1 follow-up group session + steady SSP listening)
We begin by meeting the group, establishing safety, agreements, and orientation to the program.
You’ll be introduced to the Safe and Sound Protocol and learn pacing that supports your system.
We map your nervous system patterns, triggers, and cues, and begin small, accessible regulation tools.
This month creates the foundation, trust, and rhythm that will hold your healing journey.
-

Month 2 — Repatterning Through Sound & Softening Reactivity
(2 group sessions + 1 private session + steady SSP listening)
This month deepens your SSP work and introduces somatic-based practices that reduce reactivity and overwhelm.
We explore how to reshape pathways of safety and support emotional steadiness.
Your private session helps personalize pacing and address sensitivities or early shifts.
The group container strengthens co-regulation, consistency, and integration.
-

Month 3 — Capacity Building, Meeting Discomfort & Responding with Compassion
(2 group sessions + 1 private session + steady SSP listening)
This month focuses on expanding your system’s capacity gently and sustainably.
You’ll learn how to meet symptoms, discomfort, and internal activation with skill, compassion, and practical tools.
We explore how to support your body through stress without collapsing or pushing through.
Your private session helps you integrate these tools and strengthen trust in your own responses.
-

Month 4 — Integration, Stability & Embodiment
(2 group sessions + 1 private session + steady SSP listening)
Your nervous system begins to stabilize as new safety pathways take hold.
We deepen your daily tools, support emotional integration, and strengthen self-trust.
Your private session meets whatever arises — ease, grief, clarity, or new energy.
This month anchors the shifts your system is learning to maintain.
-

Month 5 — Expansion, Reconnection & Closing the Circle
(2 group sessions — including a closing group session + 1 private session + steady SSP listening)
This month explores what’s opening: energy, creativity, connection, or greater emotional steadiness.
We build confidence in engaging with life at a pace your system can hold.
Your private session consolidates your progress and prepares you for transition.
We close the group container and honor your transformation in community.
-

Month 6 — SSP Balance, Integration & Life Beyond the Program
(Independent month: SSP Balance + self-guided practices)
You’ll transition to SSP Balance, an integration playlist that reinforces the changes created in the program.
This month gives your system spacious time to settle, stabilize, and practice your tools.
You’ll receive guidance for continued regulation, pacing, and long-term support.
This is a gentle re-entry phase that anchors your new baseline into daily life.

Living with chronic illness affects every part of life — energy, work, income, relationships, and often even the stability of home and belongings. I understand this deeply, because I’ve lived it myself. The financial burden of healing is real, and it can be overwhelming.
In recognition of this, I offer two reduced-rate scholarship spots per cohort.
These spaces are reserved for individuals experiencing significant financial hardship due to chronic illness.
A few important notes:
• Scholarship spots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-reviewed basis
• Applicants will indicate interest on the program application
• These spots require a genuine commitment to showing up for all of the sessions and completing the program
• Because this is a community-based healing container, consistency and participation are essential
I offer these reduced-rate spots as part of my heart-work — a way to support people who are deeply committed to healing but whose financial capacity has been impacted.
Final Invitation
I was where you are.
I remember the fear, the grief, the isolation, and the frustration of doing everything right and still not getting better.
Your body is not failing you.
It is trying to protect you.
If you’re longing for a gentler way…
A clearer map…
A steady container…
A path that honors your limitations and your humanity…
This program was built for you.
Because I know what it’s like to lose most of your life.
And I know what it feels like to get it back.
You don’t have to do this alone.
About Your Facilitator
Erica Skone-Rees
Safe & Sound Protocol music therapy, vagus nerve work, and slow, attuned nervous system support were the first interventions that finally shifted her system. Within weeks, she began getting out of bed again. Over time, her energy returned, her symptoms softened, and her sense of self came back online. That transformation became the foundation for her life’s work.
Erica supports individuals and groups through the same process she used to rebuild her own nervous system. Her approach blends:
What she’s witnessed — time and again — is that people heal more deeply and more quickly in community. That insight is what inspired the Music Medicine Reset: a steady, structured, compassionate, science-backed pathway designed specifically for bodies that have been through too much for too long.
Erica brings warmth, clarity, lived wisdom, and attuned presence to every group she leads. She creates the kind of container she once needed herself: calm, safe, grounded, and deeply human.
• SSP music therapy
• somatic nervous system regulation
• mindfulness and awareness training
• pacing guidance
• limbic system support & retraining
• trauma-informed care
• lowering toxin load
• creativity, rest, and gentle embodiment
Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, SSP Provider & Health Coach
Erica specializes in supporting people living with chronic illness, chronic stress, sensory sensitivity, trauma, and long-term dysregulation through body-based healing, somatic practices, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
Her work is rooted not only in training, but in lived experience.
Years ago, Erica became fully bed-bound with mold illness, Lyme disease, chronic fatigue, and a flare of overlapping sensitivities that left her overwhelmed, depleted, and unable to function. Even after addressing the medical layers — treating infections, healing her gut, and leaving a toxic environment — her system remained stuck in a cycle of hypervigilance, shutdown, emotional overwhelm, inflammation, and profound fatigue.
